Posted March 27, 201213 yr So, in an effort to get better sound I came across this:It's made by Arc Audiohttp://store.arcaudio.com/products/productdetail/IDX/part_number=IDX/1735.0.1.1.56010.56696.0.0.0?pp=8&Manual pg.9:http://www.arcaudio.com/pdfs/product-manuals/processors/IDX-XEQ.pdf
March 27, 201213 yr For that price aren't you close to some decent amps that would allow you to be active.Or why not just use your headunit?
March 27, 201213 yr That's uber expensive for rather limited (read 1990) functionality. Personally I'd do it in a headunit or with something where the controls are up front.

Bandpass which I've not seen in a HU. Unless I've yet to discover my P800
March 27, 201213 yr Author *that are worth a shit for active that isIf I could have a HU that had bandpass option alone I think I'd be happier than ever right now.... Could you maybe point to one or two with that option? Price not a concern for the time being...
March 27, 201213 yr Author The 800 or 880 prs can bandpass. I forget which one you have.I have an 800... Are you sure I can? I haven't seen any options that look remotely similar to bandpass

March 27, 201213 yr Author I didn't see the options and you'd think in the manual it would clearly state "bandpass"
March 27, 201213 yr I didn't see the options and you'd think in the manual it would clearly state "bandpass"Yeah I don't have my manual so I don't know. But you can bandpass the mid.
March 27, 201213 yr Author I see.... Well, then that leaves a hole because I'd need to highpass the tweet and there is not way to do so...
March 27, 201213 yr I see.... Well, then that leaves a hole because I'd need to highpass the tweet and there is not way to do so...Yes you can. Did you miss this postThe sub has a LPF.The mid has a HPF and a LPF (Bandpass)The high has a HPF
March 27, 201213 yr Author I'm looking in the manual and it mentions nothing of a sort.... POOP! I know you have/had a P8xx series HU, so you know if you did it or not right?

March 27, 201213 yr Yeah I am currently using an 880 in network mode (3 way active) with my amps xovers for a semi active 4way.
March 27, 201213 yr Does the HPF go high enough for a tweeter though? Like 2k plus?Yes it goes much higher than 2k.
March 27, 201213 yr Author Does the HPF go high enough for a tweeter though? Like 2k plus?Yes it goes much higher than 2k.WTF!! I'm going into my car right now!
March 27, 201213 yr Author I don't think I do... I just came back from the car and it only allows me adjustment of left and right separate or together... from 200hz to 50hz... on F.HPF1 and R.HPF1
