so is a second stock alt going to be as good as an ho alt??

the town i live in has an auto program at college that i can get a alt from a junk yard for $$22.00 and they well clean up and run through it for me, (im waiting on a call back from them to se if they can recoil it as well)

and they have a fabricating shop that for the price of materials well make a mounting bracket also

i know that there are alot of car audio specific companys that make batteries, but would 1 everlast maxx 1N under hood(replace stock) and 4 in back(total 5) be just as good as 3 audio batteries? i can get the ELmaxx1N's for 89.99 apeice so like 450.00 for 5 batts??

Sounds good to me sir. Also, in my opinion, theres no such thing as "audio battery", just like theres no such thing as "audio wire". A battery is a battery, now each battery produce may be designed for a different role, but what you have listed will be great, especially with an adittional alt.

You are going to need a bigger alt and ~4 G31 batts.

i would recommend 300 amps in alternator and 400 amp hours of batteries

so heres a dumb ? how do you figure how many AH you need to use? and (2) stock 130A isnt enouph i could pick up a few more stock alts and run one on each batt would that be better?

i mean for 22.00 it be simple to get a few more

Now think of all the alts you would be running that's five alts if you wanted one for each batt. That just seems like a giant headache to me. I would say maybe do a dual bracket and then run two 130's and then just save up for a big 300amp as it will be better than the two stocks together. When you get into big alternator setups it becomes a headache IMO. Getting a bracket might not be a problem, diagnosing problems becomes harder. HP is affected do to alts zapping power. Finding a belt the right size and tensioning becomes a problem ect.

Example 2 130= 260amps

1 250amp + 1 130amp= 380 a little cheaper route than getting a 300amp

1 300amp + 1 130amp=430

5 130amp alts= 650amps way to close to the two 300 amps to bother with the trouble IMO

2 300amp alts= 600amps

i understand what your saying about the multable alt

im going to a junkyard tomorow with my partner(he needs a sering colum) its about 20min from me they have som ambulances ill check them to see if they have any alts in them there 65.00 there but thats a 280A alt if i can find one

That's good 270amps for 65 bucks. You could still go duals and have 540amps for $130 excluding bracket cost.
