Posted April 24, 201213 yr have an ms8 going to this amps with epcc engine whine....swapped different outputs form the ms=8 and realized the ground noise is only present int he front rca's of the vlx-4150 no matter the source of output from the ms-8if i plug in the rears only no engine noise...could this be a defective amp?
April 24, 201213 yr Possibly.Do you have a separate source, like an Ipod, you could plug in directly to the amplifier?
April 24, 201213 yr Author okay so i plugged in the ipod..engine whine gone :S but i don't understand why there is none with the rear inputs plugged in only... im guessing maybe a grounding problem with ms-8 just redid the ground still noise ..using high level inputs run from behind deck to ms8 which is mounted on rear seat of van..car is a Hyundai tucson 2011 model Edited April 24, 201213 yr by RPM
May 1, 201213 yr I had the same thing happen with my system. I sent my headunit in to be checked.. Its being repaired right now.
