September 1, 201213 yr Author just spent about an hour at a running store in biloxi and got fitted. i am the proud owner of a pair green gecko Brooks Purecadence!! they are so awesome. i cannot wait to get back to Baton rouge to hit the gym. look for episode 5 of from fat to 5k. shooting on vacation and editing this week when i get home
September 3, 201213 yr Author first night back in the gym. i did 1.25 miles in about 18 minutes. i walked/jogged at 3-4 mph for most, but pushed my self to run at 6-7 mph for short sprints. i ran for 1 minute at 7 mph at the end to push myself. Im am bad out of shape, but i am trying

I ordered me some toesocks for my vibrams, and a heart-rate monitor so once it cools off I'll start doing the same.Also your more likely to lose weight from walking and jogging then full out running. November 26, 201212 yr Good job so far man! I need to motivate myself to get healthy. I'm pushing 256-260 some days. Finding 38/40-32's are a bitch. Good luck to you!
January 6, 201312 yr Author so long time, no post. Update I lost a lot of motivation in the last 2 months or so. I hate to make excuses but school and work during November and December took a toll on my workout/diet routine. The holidays did not help. I have hit a stand still and gained back a few lbs, back up to 274.Now for the good.I am back on my diet and back in the gym. Last night I decided to extend my treadmill jog to 3.1 miles( 5k) just to get a feel for it. Now this is the first time in about 8 weeks that I have worked out and also the first time ever for this type of distance/duration. Though a combination of speedwalk, running, and jogging, I hit 5k in 55:50. I was pretty excited for under 1 hour, even if it is just treadmill.
