I ordered two FT1 4ohm tweeters and two PWX-8in mids 4ohm.

Well the 8's that came are 8ohm.....Should I try and make this work or just send back for the 4 ohms?

The amp is a Alpine PDX 4.150 and does rated at 4 or 2 ohms.

You could just use them, but personally I would want them switched out.

You will have better fidelity with the higher impedance, with the cost of a small amount of output... And I mean a small amount... Little enough that you would probably never notice...

Okay so I always knew it wouldn't make a big difference, I didn't realize just how insignificant it would be. Thanks for posting!

Sorry about the mix up.

If you want to exchange them PM me and we will take care of it.

Or to say that differently the 4ohm option is stupid

Hmmm, I never knew. I did know my previous components were 4ohm and I also believe my coaxials are too. I figured I was ordering right. Thanks for the tip
