I am doing (2) Sundown Sa 8v2's on a Cresendo B2000. The box is going to be a little over 1 Cubic foot and am looking to do an aero port. I want the tuning to be around 30-33hz and need to know how i would calculate the dimensions for the port. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the response. In regards to the psp port calculator, the length given; is that the length of the port in inches, or what?

That helps alot. Thanks

Using a 6" port the box will be smaller than the volume the port will take up. In situations like that a slot port is a better choice...that or picking a driver that requires a larger box since you'll be using the space anyways.

^^Yes. Hemolitz resonation requires the volume of the enclosure and vent to be within certain parameters to work right. For instance a 1/2 cubic foot box attached to an 8" sonotube for a port will act more like a transmission line than a port. Conversley, if the port is too small you will get an aperiodic effect.

Both of these are bad things..

The last box i made and sold was a 1.44 cube box for two sa8 v1.5's and ported it with a single 4" aero using the full 17" length and tuned it to 34. Sounded a lot better than the previous slot port boxes I had made for sa8's. Even with the port being a little on the small side it had NO port noise and sounded pretty damn good on 1000w.
