Are amplifiers really needed for these speakers? I have coaxial speakers that replaced my factory ones. My factory ones were 25RMS and my new ones are 60RMS in the front, and 65RMS in the back. They crank up really loud and they are in the factory locations with the factory wiring. I think they sound amazing, but I always hear about amplifiers for these mids & highs.

Are they needed?

In your situation id say no.

If you were running a component set or if you went active I would say yes

If you are happy then no, if you want them to sound better then yes.

How much better? I mean, if 25Watts was what I had before and it went to 30 on my deck....and now I can go to 43 which is really loud, how much better can it get? Is 60Watts THAT loud?

It won't just be louder it will sound better too.

Phuck yes amp them bro! Theres a big difference(to me) when changeing HU, then Changing Speakers, THEN amping them! You don't need anything special, just any normal 100.4 would do or something similiar, no matter the amp rating (keep it reasonable lol). Also, don't pay too too much attention to the power ratings and what you may or may not "think" how much power is being used. That'll be a guessing game, and no one likes to do that. I would just suggest, pay a small little amplifier, and go from there. Set the dials to what your comforatable with.

Am i missing something or is there a reason you think your stock 25rms speakers were getting 25 watts?
