Posted March 15, 200619 yr Hello there.I`ve 2x PowerBass XA-3000D amps. And I`m really happy with them. Got a few questions though.I know they can be loaded down to 0.5ohm.Do they kick out any more power at this ohmage? And what is the power figure @ 14.4v?
March 16, 200619 yr yeah, they'll take it, not 4 street bass though...although I doubt that you listen to 2 of em for SB....for burps hell yeah, & they put out a little more BUT SUCK down the juice 2 do it. you have better have some batteries on em. we run ours at 18V running at .35 & get 115V ish outta them.....be carefull though, if you toast a sub, chances are you will take out an amp. they have very little protection in them...wich is good, for the fact they they will let you abuse them for comps, but don't over do it
March 17, 200619 yr Author Thanks for that info` I`m running them both at 2ohm at the moment using 4x 2ohm DVC 15" subsWas thinking of either loading the subs down to 0.5 ohm or strapping the amps together @ 1ohm.How would you run them?A: 0.5ohm singledB: 1ohm Strapped
March 17, 200619 yr 1 ohm strapped. so you only have to deal with 1 bass knob & you don't have to gain match them
