Posted July 30, 201213 yr alright, so i went back to the drawing board and got rid of the stuff i already bought. i have since purchased 2 new sets of Pioneer Tweets that come with the stage 4 system and i am thinking about getting these mids to mate up with them. i will be running them active with an Alpine INE-S920HD with the Imprint processor. what do you guys think about this set? i really liked how the tweeters sounded thats why i bought them.
July 31, 201213 yr Author i was checking out these Dynavox LW6004PMR and Peerless 830875 mids from partsexpress, but i have heard pretty good things about the ID's and wanted all of your opinions as well. Edited July 31, 201213 yr by ChILL
July 31, 201213 yr Odd choices. All of them. Of course I'd say the same about the tweeters and the fact you bought 2 pair. No one can help at all without understanding what you are trying to accomplish.
July 31, 201213 yr Author yeah, i like the Tweeters. i'm going to put 2 sets of components in the front. i've thrown away the thought of having a SQ styled system. i'm just going to build something that sounds smooth and clean to me and from the drivers i've mentioned here i should be able to find just what i'm looking for. there are also these Aurum Cantus AC-165's that i really like. i do know that one of these 4 drivers will be in the truck and i know i can tune them to my ears and be very happy with them. my last set of components were the Polk Mobile Monitor 6.5's and i liked those and thought they sounded pretty good so i know i can do alot more with what i'm looking at now.
August 1, 201213 yr lol, I really like how you ALREADY know what you like before even listening to them. Good luck with your new toys sir.

Good luck with your new toys sir.it's not like your stuck with them forever. if you don't like them get rid of them and buy something new. your not married to your equipment. try things out, you have nothing to loose really, just the time you spent installing and trying to tune them.also, i was just saying that the Polks that i had sounded decent for what they were and with what i'm looking at now it's a pretty big step up so i'm confident that i can make them sound alot better than the Polks. August 1, 201213 yr Not so sure that a Pioneer car audio tweet and an ID XS would be a step up from the Polk's. Either way, the installation is what will overwhelmingly make the difference.
