I recently got my system all finished and was wondering if there is an app or something i can download to get an estimate of how many dbs i'm hitting. I know some people that have termlabs but i don't wanna drive an hour for a 5 minute test.

No way without proper equipment.

And what does it matter what you are hitting. Just numbers, won't make any difference as long as you are enjoying it. :)

But if you get a change and you are still curious, then why the hell not.

The only accurate way is to use a TL. The SPL labs meter is said to be fairly accurate as well.

I used a Term Lab. Problem is, they won't read anything under 120db (IIRC, and this was 8 years ago).

But mine would do 120+ @ 20Hz @ the listening position, so this wan't an issue... smile.png

You can also get cheap handheld meters. But accuracy is a crap-shoot...

I think he means check his vehicle at home, not his actual home theater. I thought the same thing at first too.
