Little problems nothing serious. Built enclousure for some 18inchrolling zcons limited on space but couldnt pass the offer up on some z's. Box is small for ported box and tuned high with a smallamount of port are, basically if you could mess a box up and screw yourself over in output this is the box. 180inchs of port area withc4.5cubes per 18 tuned at 40hz not that happy with the output even on a .5ohm load on a sendo with electrical back it up. My question iss would i see a day and night difference if i built a single 18 box the biggest i could build out of my space? Pics of the franksteinvbox xustom finish on it.

4.5cuft is too small to get low end out of it.

Now, if it were like 6-7cuft tuned to 40hz, it would get deeper but obviously if you were to rebuild, you'd have control over tuning as well.

i want aim for 35hz with 200inchs port area with 7cubes after port and displacement of sub. not shure thats enough port or too much.

Louder on the ear for daily if i would run one single 18 in a proper box rather then two . Only reasoningwith is reducing one to a 18 is alot of cone area going away.

I think he means 180in^2 of port TOTAL with 4.5 cubes of volume PER sub.

OP I would go with a single sub in a 6-7 cube box, I think you will like how it sounds a lot more. A box that small must have no low end and is probably very peaky..

I thought maybe that is what he meant but then said he wanted 200in^2 for 1 18.

What I was getting at was if that was really the port area then he could possibly use the box he has and redo the port.

I would do 6-7cubes with around 100sq in of port for one 18. You current box is all jacked up.

Recone to 15s, problem solved.

Rebuilding box keep yall informed. Double think mdf all around 35hz tuned with 180inchs of port area for one 18 seeing 6.24 net volume after sub displacement and port.
