Hi guys, so I connected a 12" kicker cvr to my hifonics 1000.1D on the bridged terminals on the amp but at the same time I connected a Rockford p3 8" on the two remaining terminals on the amp. I noticed that my kicker isn't hitting as hard. I'm curious to know if the connected could possibly causing me to have a loss of power?

You're running a 12" and an 8" off the same mono amp?

disconnect the 8in. sub, read amp manual and wire 12in sub accordingly.

I dont think so but you might try.

if he's really hooking his system up like that, YES! he has the 12in. "bridged" on that mono amp and he has the 8in. hooked up to the other 2 outputs. get ready for the magic SPL smoke

Wow. Umm, like everyone has said, go read some stuff first. Once the amp is bridged you should never connect another speaker to the other terminal.

Unless it's Tri-capable which we know it's not.

But questions like these shouldnt even be made..

The question is if the 8" sub is causing a loss of power to the 12" sub...

Well, there is one simple test.. UNHOOK the 8 and find out..

What if we said no.. Then you'd never unhook it and be left confused til eternity.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

hook up another speaker!!!! get less bass

1.what load are you putting on the amp?

2. Unhook the 8

to help you out i think the first questions that should be asked are:

1: what model CVR do you have, the dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm?

2: what do you have for an enclosure for your 12in sub?

3: what are you musical preferences so we may come up with a new enclosure design to get you closer to you goals since i'm assuming you hooked up the 8in sub to gain more bass.

4: what headunit do you have so maybe we can help you set up your amplifier and headunit to better suit your needs and equipment.

Thank you guys sorry for the retarded question.. I'll for sure do some online reading and also I will disconnect one of the speaker and give and update on the results..
