Kevin did send him to another forum to some box designers. I guess between the manufacturer and the designer they couldn't come up with a recommendation?

And if you're not sure of ur skill set. I might even come out of retirement and build it for you.

Is it possible to get the box a bit bigger and have it tuned to 32hz? That is what skar audio recommends maybe build the box to be 2.25 cut ft?

I hope is not much to ask by what I have asked if its needed can you design the box to be 2.25 cu ft tuned to 32hz plz so it can be. .75 cu ft per sub. Is that ok to do I like to hit the lows and well I would like to go with the manufactures specs. Thanks or atleast get. .7 cu ft per sub making the box to be 2.1cu ft tuned to 32hz

I'd contact Kevin S. I don't even want to understand the thought process behind manufacture's specs.

I do however have a firm grasp on enclosure design and cabin gain. And if those sub's were in my car I'd rather the the 1db gain from 34-50 hertz with an f3 of 29hz versus a loss of 1db gain in the playable range and a f3 of 27hz. Which you will more than likely have your subsonic filter set no lower than 30 hertz anyhow.

Ok so dumbing it down lol in other words you believe the subs will perform better in this enclosure then the manufactures recommended?

In laymans terms it will give you better output o over a broader range.

Will this box let the subs hit the lows? I like them to hit the lows good.

  • 3 months later...

just roll that box oakteg21. Quentin has built way more boxes then i have so i trust his design.

necro rofl

double check my shit. been awhile since i booted up autocad... also my design probably could be better, more 45s in the port to reduce turbulence, etc. vvx8x3boximg_zpsc3a33035.png

Yea I want to build it but don't know the cut sheet for it

errr, in laymans terms Kevin is a moron so ignore his recommendations. He can't explain any of them anyways as the t/s are wrong and he pulled them out of a hat. I am confident in Quentin's design enough that I would recommend it even though I haven't even looked at the driver specs or double checked anything. Roll with it!

I do want to roll with it but the thing with me is I don't know what size to cut the port walls
