I'm sorry, the subwoofer doesn't care what resistance the amplifier is seeing.Break in time? Doesn't matter, not one bit.
October 5, 201212 yr Author Would I b better off getting the bl n2's instead? Sorry for the mistake. I plan on using the crescendo 5500. 2 ohm daily and .05 when I compete. I had heard that the bl's would b a good sub for this. I'm replacing mtx 9500's so I don't want to downgrade.
October 5, 201212 yr Get the D1 N2s and run the amp at one ohm. Do you have the electrical to back this power up?
October 5, 201212 yr Author I'm running two subs, sorry should have specified, yes all upgrades too electrical have been made. I also have been offered a good deal on a pair of sundown zv3's for just a few dollars more. I know they would handle it, but was lead to believe the fi bl'smight b a touch better since I could custom build them for spl.

October 5, 201212 yr im not following your logic, if you run the BL's you will run a 5500 watt amp.. but if you run the ZV3s you will only run a 3500 watt? and IMO you dont have enough electrical to run at half ohm.

What do I do?....wont be enough i have 4runs of 1/0gauge two 2400 kinetic in the back with 275 amp ho upfront when i ran my crescendo 3500 at .5ohm nasty voltage drop scared me back down to 1ohm much better on electrical now!
October 5, 201212 yr stick at 1ohm and still watch your voltage cause my guess you can get that sucker down to low 12volts with no problem. i know i can at 1ohm with my crescendo after 30secs of constant bass! Edited October 5, 201212 yr by Dictator
