A buddy of mine just got two power acoustik demon 6000d series amps. I looked them up and they said they would do 3500 @ 1 ohm and 7000 @ 2 ohm when strapped. I've never seen per heard these amps so he enter to know if anyone has any knowledge of about them. I thinly its very sketchy ratings for the price. Anyone have an idea?

Without a doubt pure bullshit.

Website claims 3500w output with tested THD at 0.01% at under $300 shipped DIRECT SALE...

Yea right.. If that were true, then the entire car audio industry would be flocking to PA, lmao.. what a joke.

It may produce 3500w when wired down enough, but the signal will be so clipped that you might as well purposely wire the amp with ground noise to get used to the horror.

4 ga. Power inputs and a rating of 250a fusing leads me to think its capable of making maybe 2K or less.

That's what I tried to tell him. I told him for what he spent he could have gone with much better options. I.e. sundown, crescendo, etc but those big numbers struck his fancy. Oh well I'll help him hook them up and get back to you guys. Lol

oh i love those guys at local shows, they get these big huge amps with huge RMS claims then they end up in the lane with me, and go home sad.

They do have 0 ga. power inputs. But I still wouldnt buy one.

On their website and sonic electronics

this is from PAs website

Additional Features

  • Regulated Power Supply

  • 200mV-6V Low Level Inputs
  • Three-Way Protection Circuitry
  • Pre-Amp Outputs
  • 4 ga. Power & 8 ga. Speaker Terminals

thats why i said it had 4 gauge input,

Their website also says "Music so powerful it makes the dead come to life!" I think that claim is just as accurate as 3000 watts RMS. BUT the led skull eyes light up, so they must be good. If only they had more crome...
