I had a 12 in it and it was great sounding.

As stated, it will decrease the power handling and also Q will decrease, F3 will increase and cone control will go down. Efficiency will increase.Most of these you will not notice with the small difference you are dealing with. However, you simply do not need the room you have. YOu can use it with little to no adverse affects, but be careful on the volume knob. The driver will let you know when you've gone too far
