Hello Everyone

I have a 2.2 cu ft sealed enclosure (after displacement) and I was wondering if the new Mag would sound good in it.

I have a PRSX720 amp that gives out 800 watts RMS @ 4 ohms

thanks

I would say a 1.6cu ft sealed enclosure would be more ideal. I had a 12 in it and it was great sounding.

wooden blocks = more weight

:(

a larger enclosure for the Mag would affect its sound?

Power handling would go down...but will it get sloppy?

Wooden blocks = more weight that you'll never notice.

As stated, it will decrease the power handling and also Q will decrease, F3 will increase and cone control will go down. Efficiency will increase.

Most of these you will not notice with the small difference you are dealing with. However, you simply do not need the room you have. YOu can use it with little to no adverse affects, but be careful on the volume knob. The driver will let you know when you've gone too far
