December 3, 201212 yr Thanks for all the replies guys! I pretty much just decided to cheap out and go with some SPS due to the lack of external crossover, and figured I'd stick to the big name brand stuff. Techinally, my Dad is still the rightful owner fo the Jeep so I'm going to try to keep things a "least invasive" as possible. Should be a pretty relaxed little setup but I'll take my time with the install and I'm sure my sis will be more than happy. Itll end up with SPS 6.5'' comps powered off a RF P300-2. Lots of sound deadening for the doors. A little baby polk db840 that will get fed by a P300-1. Got a sweet little Alpine HU for her too! Should be a pretty fun install!Anyone had any experience with those little 8'' Polks? I was thinking of running it in a little larger then suggested sealed unless someone has another idea?Stick with the alpine sps or incriminator 6.5s on this forums store.

There are a few choices I would probably go with over that driver in a comparable price range.

Since this is kind of a "joint gift" to my sister my from my Dad and I, he'd was all hell bent on more name brand stuff; and I don't really blame him. My first thought was that one of those sundown E8s would be a nice fit on 300rms, but the Polk was on sale on Crutchfield. Rubber surround, DVC, and a cool "db" logo its gotta be sweet! Anyway, now I've got to decide on an enclosure...
December 4, 201212 yr not familiar with the sub but i think that you should run a ported enclosure to get the most output possible.

I'm starting to throw some ideas around in my head now. Probably keep things simple with a 4in round port.Do you think I could get away with ~30hz and 0.6ft^3 ? Im a little afraid that tuning low might leave a hole in the ~100hz range with only those little SPS 6.5''s up front...We are not looking for mirror ratteling lows here. Just a little fill on the low end...
