I am going to be walling off my car soon and wanted some opinions on which subs to run. I really want either 2 15'' Zcons or just recone my Mayhem's to 15's. This will be a low and nasty setup with tuning around 30-33hz with 5k of power. I am not worried about number scores, I just like my bass loud and low. I know either one would get the job done, just fishing for input.

I would say Mahem's just because you already have the motors. Or you could be cool and sell them and switch. :P

I do already have the motors, but the Zcon's are looking good to me.

Cheapest way would be to recone. No one will be able to tell you which will be louder in your car. If you want to know that answer, you will have to do both yourself.

Either way I'm sure that you'll be happy.

I am just gathering input because I am torn here. I know both subs get down, but this will be the last build in my car and just wanted opinions. I have yet to hear a Zcon, so I am just unsure.

If you have the budget , go for the Zcons.

But the Mayhems are very good subs too.

Tough decision !

Based on budget : just get some recones and baskets ! If you can do the work.

Or sell your subs and...ZCONS !

Their specs are so close you wouldn't notice a difference.
