I have an AQX 3500 (loving it, stays pretty cool and no fires lol) but i was wondering if this amplifier would be ok at that low of an impedance if i had a proper electrical to support it and no bass boost.

Thanks.

I wouldn't try that unless you have another amp to replace this one.

Simply put I'd say no. If you just want to burp at .25 I'd say MAYBE depending on your rise at whatever frequency you burp at.

it rises to 2.4-2.7 ish when wired to one ohm

Are you wanting to run it at .25 all of the time?

yes, but that doesnt mean full tilt entire play time, id only run her 10 to 15 minutes at a day maximum at a "satisfying" output. and some days with very little output.

I would advise against doing it then, unless like BrutalBasser said you have an extra amp or money to blow.

okay then, thanks a lot for the input!

Also for what it's worth the audible difference would be minimal if you can even hear it.

Is that because my efficiency would go out the window?

The gain in power would not be enough to make it worthwhile. Theoretically you have to double power to see a 3db gain. (this is in a perfect world) It takes a 3db gain for it to be audibly louder, so if you put all of that together it just isn't worth it.
