i was thinking about that, but how would i charge the unit, get a signal to a mini dsp, and use the hdd at the same time?

      I'd try and pick up a raspberry Pi if you can find one.. it would take some time setting up but it would be a quick venture into a car pc while keeping your current head unit. I would do the Composite

    i know there is a way to do it with my nexus 7 and otg cable (charging and reading hdd).
