ok so the more and more i keep reading how amps have this now and how you need it if you have a ported box.....which is what i have and i know that my sub amp now DOESNT have one so my question is am i losing bass or quality or anything like that by not having the SSF???

Nope.

Most of the sub sonic frequencies are usually so low that you wouldnt notice it.

Its basically there to protect the woofer.

Only if they are playing under the tuning of the enclosure at higher volumes causing them to " unload" and hit the back of the basket. But you would hear that if they did.

Its a nasty nasty noise
