And for me if the 6 isn't an M I don't like it. I want to though. I love big 2 doors, but that car really needs the M treatment.

I found it pretty not exciting and 25k more.

At $30k I am in 2006 m5 teritory with 50k miles. I worry about the tranny though.

Or spend $18k on a super clean E39 M5 and save $12k for something else.

IMO you are too big for a 3.  I will never own another for the same reason.

Although mine was super cheap to own, the problem with those is IF something happens to the motor.  That and to buy a nice one they are still over $15k.

 

A 535i with Sport Suspension and some added Boost on the other hand would be a sweet alternative but coming in at under $10k

The S38 is a great motor though

Matt wants fast and prestige without costing him bank.  Preference for AWD or some capability of dealing with our climate although it need not be driven on uber shitty days.

Me too.  Generally I am opposed to blue cars...with 3 exceptions.  E39 M5, Cayenne T/GTS, and the Rossion

I'd guess 5.5 sprints and 13.5 qtr's are acceptable.
