No matter how stupid they are. Two totally different beasts. The Conti was FWD, based on the Taurus chassis. It was a unibody vehicle, with the DOHC 4.6 mounted transversely with a transmission that could barely handle the power of the anemic Vulcan 3.0.The Town Car is a Panther platform (body-on-frame), RWD, SOHC 4.6, with 4 speed OD trans. I also hate to say it, but Lincoln has not held a candle to Cadillac since the mid 90s. They've become nothing more than a Ford with a tuxedo.
