Anyone got any tips for hand exercises / therapy? Masturbating doesn't count.

In the morning my hands are like claws and I can't make a fist until I run them under hot water for a while, blame it on the climbing.

I'm going to try a rice bucket for now.

Masturbating might make it worse. You need stretching type exercises.

With a cock as big as mine, masturbating is a stretching exercise.

Contemplating a new headphone amp. I have decided on the company, now I need to decide on the amp. Woo Audio is a US company that specializes in headphone amps. I have it narrowed down to the  WA3 or the WA6

I need a little advice.

WA3

WA6

The WA3 goes for $600, the WA6 for $700. I don't need preamp outs and I will not buy their upgraded tubes. I have my research down on the tubes and rectifiers for each amp.

The WA3 is a OLT design, or an output transformerless design. This has a tendency to be extremely linear. But it has the drawback of needing really high impedance drivers to provide beneficial damping factor for the transformerless output design. Basically, it is supposed to be one of the nicest amps to pair with the Senn HD600, 650, 700, 800, etc. Plus it is $100 cheaper than the WA6, which means for the same money I can roll more tubes.

BUT!!!

Low impedance drivers do not offer the damping factor required to make the OTL design work to it's potential. I have a few "bucket list" cans I want, and some do not fall into the high impedance driver category necessary to facilitate the WA3. The WA6 ticks all the boxes for the HD600s, and my "bucket list" cans. Not only that, but my Momentums will fall into the "wrong amp, fucktard" scenario if I grab the WA3.

I was thinking about giving my son my current amp, and I really don't want a crowd of headphone amps on my nightstand. I also don't want to wind up with several DACs, and interconnects to further crowd my headphone amp area. Along with my nightstand I now have a rack with DACs, external HDDs, Battery backup, server, Pio Elite DV45A SACD/DVD/CD player, and 2 CD/DVD burners (I am a closet burner and have some really kick ass external burners).

So do I buy the WA6 as a future proof deal, even though I may never buy another set of cans? Do I buy the WA3 as it is really THE design I want to go with my current HD600 cans, with the realization that I may be fucking myself in the future?

You are obsessed!

Duh! How long have you known me?

But if you saw that big rectifier tube in the WA6 glow, you would shit...

Make them bigger. I like the font face and icons, then again I like minimalistic themes when it comes to GUIs.

It is a serious bitch to find graphics that have a transparent background.  I haven't optimized ANY of the buttons above, just used what shipped with it.  Focused on functional layout first.

I prefer something minimalist as well, but that isn't my theme that is the Now Playing screen.  It is all written in XML for which I have the source code, but have never programmed so I am learning.  Fun way to learn to read someone elses code, lol.

But seriously if there are sexy transport buttons that are png with transparency where the button is not, I'd love them.  I made my own when I did my house and would use some of them, but I don't want fancy buttons here.  Just a slight change of transparency and a symbol.

As a reference, if the volume slider or track slider were any thinner they would be hard to push while driving without looking.  And yes, I'd like blind control.  Exactly why the FFWD and REV arrows are so big on the bottom of the screen.

This is the home screen for which I rarely go, not even under boot up.  Obviously it was originally designed not for a Portrait display.

StartScreen_zpsct5a5zfq.png

Interesting that my computer when I screen shot it turned the background to black.  It is actually the same as under the buttons, just a small transition.

I am going to reconfigure the button sizes and screen but it gives you an idea.  In the Cadillac logo I can embed any of the sensors on the car and normally Local Weather actually shows it....when connected to the internet.

The logos go grey like that when not connected.  (ie GPS).  That is disconnected since I was using it in Garmin.

As for other operating systems, I need to run:

HP Tuners

MiniDSP

Music

Reverse Camera

OBDII

Voice Commands

Steering wheel controls

Internet

Garmin Maps

HD Radio

Pandora

Bluetooth Phone

Dual monitors and sound for movies for the kids in the backseat

and so on.

This was basically run and it works.  It restarts right where you left off less than 2 seconds after starting the car.  The downfall was the programmer has no sense of taste and it needs customization but IMO the general format is better than anything I've seen.  If I only needed an audio player that'd be different.

Arthritis or are you juicing?

Speaking of, here is my "nowplaying" screen atm anyway.

There is one error you can see I am trying to track down. Only affects one folder of random music so I had to use that as the test bed.

Not trying to hate, but that UI is hideous and looks like a 1995 web page design

show me a better one I can make it look like whatever I want

How is it made?

I've been making programs in LabView where I make the UI look like Android material design.

I climb or workout everyday during the week, climbing is a lot of stress

Your pain was described a lot like my arthritis. Only other people I knew with that kind of problem were on gallons of growth hormone and AAS.

Wear and tear on your hands like climbing is probably affecting your tendons and joints. The claw thing is all tendon inflamaion.

Start stretching at night and all day. Especially after a hot shower or soak.

Years of aikido stretching is probably why I can still use my hands considering the damage done to them from the arthritis.

You can also try naproxen. One Aleve 2 times a day for > a month or so is the strongest anti inflammatory regiment according to my rheumatologist. Takes that long to hold up in your system according to his experience.

It didn't help much with pain honestly but I did notice some more movement. Tramadol helped a ton with arthritis specific pain. Ultimately though I had to move into prednisone for my first few flare ups, and now enbrel.

The city is bombarded with road and utility work. Pretty ironic to think it is the European Youth capital this year and everything is a bloody construction site.

The bicycle is the only reasonable means of transport to be honest.

Don't you have a spare bike or three? If so sell em and make a nice markup.

I've tried aleve and it helped a lot, but ultimately it's a bandaid fix if you know what I mean. I'm sure I've done some damage to my tendons, I stopped climbing for a week and it didn't really help, partially because I think my hands weren't getting an extra blood flow and movement.

My mother leases a new Explorer every two years. She always has a new dependable vehicle that she never has to maintain. She's been doing so since 1991; same dealership. They have such a good relationship, the dealer will pick the vehicle up and drop off a loaner if she needs any work done, even an oil change, which she gets for free. Her lease payments are always dirt cheap as well as the residual is always below market, so she always has equity when sge trades.

Also, general car buying philosophy is accepted at this time :)

Find what you want, know what you want to spend, and tell the dealer exactlty what you want. If they don't play ball, leave. There's always a dealer who will bend over backwards to earn your business.

XML and pictures.  Only trick are finding/making the pictures.

Sean, I know you lease your work vehicle. Any body else lease? Where is the advantage of a lease?

My Dad leased an RX350 and I just don't get why he would when he has the cash to buy one (or a 2 year old car that is much nicer for the same money)

When a business leases a vehicle 100% of the payment can be written off as an expense.  When they buy one they have to depreciate the car on a yearly basis.  Normally there is a major tax benefit and huge effort benefit for the company to lease.

For a person, the ONLY advantage is it forces you to flip cars exactly at a certain point in time.
