April 13, 201312 yr Pasta doesn't NEED to be fresh for me to enjoy it. But it helps in a lot of cases. You cannot get the same tooth with fresh. It is dish sensitive however. You enjoy Asian noodle dishes from dried noodles Sean? I know you like udon, as do I. I never made my miso as I didn't have any udon and that made me not want to make it. LoL
April 13, 201312 yr Need a restaurant for simple eaters tomorrow. They asked for Italian, I don't eat out Italian since non fresh pasta isn't pasta and that is the norm. Any ideas? If you we're down here yes. I despise chain Italian food. Agreed. I have yet to find ONE Italian food chain worth a damn. I've at least found one good Tex-Mex, American, or Chinese chain. So which are the "good" chains?
April 13, 201312 yr Udon is better fresh too. Fresh pasta isn't required, home made is. I dry my own sometimes and then use it for carbonara and the like. Comment above was more for me to even consider an Italian restaurant they should make their own pasta. Any ideas on good ones locally Matt? Bar La Grassa is booked tonight and Broders doesn't take reservations so 6 on a Saturday isn't my idea of fun.
April 13, 201312 yr Had Udon on Thursday....at the Detroit airport. Always looking for the least of all evils and considering I only had 10 minutes to buy and eat that took the sushi option away.

You just gave me 2 names I didn't know about. :-)I did confuse the fresh with making your own.
April 13, 201312 yr Udon is like magical heaven to me.I love good soba too..... but udon is so comforting. It combines good taste with my childhood love of ramen.
April 13, 201312 yr Rode my first crotch rocket today. Stalled it a couple of times, but when I got the hang of it it was quite a bit of fun. Not bad for 31hp.Now I want one.

Please call it a supersport or SS, I always think crotch rocket is a douchebag word. @Dem beatsI'm pretty sure he means supersport, it's probably the kawasaki ninja 250 that he's talking about. April 13, 201312 yr Rotch crockets are fun, having kids killed me ever owning a bike again. Oh well maybe someday.
April 13, 201312 yr I can't imagine something 8 times lighter and the same HP as my car.It is the high revving that is spectacular.

April 13, 201312 yr I still have to build the pocket under the table, to hide the sewing machine, 2 supports for drawers, one on each side of the table and a drawer (one of them was missing for some reason)
