So, help me think......

I always want shallow DOF, and more light.

I will get a FF at some point and have one crop and one FF.

The new 5Div is probably on the way, and so is the remodeled 7D.

The sigma is wide with lots of light, but cannot be used on the inevitable FF.

Buying a new body before the new ones release would be a bad idea as even if I don't want the latest and best, the last gen will drop in price.....

If I get the Tokina it will only go to 16mm and on a crop, that ain't so wide.

I hAve a 50mm (35 mm with crop factor) 1.8 and it's great for shooting people and low light situations.

Crop factor brings the number up, not down. So closer to an 80-85mm. Great length for portraits.

My 50mm is about perfect to walk around and shoot shoulder up, and interesting scenes. But it's not wide enough for any architecture.

That's for fucking sure.

I personally was too cheap and only bought the 1.4

Your 1.4 made me want a fast prime. It's the most common lens for me to have on the camera.

I walk around at night a lot. Or shoot friends at the bar, or BBQ, and actually have some really cool pics of the city from your 1.4.

The 1.2 was a splurge and does let me get nearly grain free hand helds at night. I can shoot in light so low the 24-70 doesn't even want to take a pic.

I think the 1.2 is the cheepest 1.2 also.

I spent time with them all and after holding the 1.2, I didn't want to give it back.

The 24-70 from tamron however was way less emotional. The IS helped a ton, and despite the AF being a hair slower, it saved me as much as the 1.2 cost me above the 1.2.

Fuck sleeping at the hospital. I've slept on wooden benches in ship offices that were more comfortable.

sleepin at the hospital does suck. i ended up jacking a ton of blankets off the cleaning ladys cart and made a bed on the floor. they had this stupid chair that supposedly turned into a bed. was crap.. not to mention freezing cold. i have 3 kids so im pro at it. last kid I took one of those fold out lounge chairs in a bag and my own pillow and blankets. congrats though!

Then you are golden. My buddy sent one out to all of us that was atrocious. WAY more revealing and bad than what you posted. She looked hideous. Funny since she is normally rather attractive. smile.png
