And Ryan the whole point of the conversation had nothing to do with you.  

I understand that, but there are millions of people out there like me for whom a HU makes the most sense. 

 

I was being pointed based on how the conversation started.

 

I will add though if you don't listen to the radio I'd do smart phone and a volume control knob anyday.  That required pretty much no knowledge.  If active is required conveniently the minidsp gives you a knob for $2 or something silly like that.
