Sean,

Any chance you might be walking into a camera place while on this leg?

I'm looking for a Nikon MB-D16 Multi Power Battery Pack. State side they are about 300 dollars, and I'd like to squeeze that cost down a bit if possible. Seems insanely expensive when compared to prior models.

World economy these days. The grey market shit at B&H are the cheapest I'd buy.

I would seriously question that though. I can shoot a good 800 pictures on one charge with the normal battery on my Canon. I can't imagine that a Nikon is that much worse...although with no glass really and needing a body I would have hardcore looked at the Canon's...

Why did you leave out the oysters & sausage?

Forgot lol, what country are you in now?
Malaysia

Ever been to Ireland, if so how was it? Just figured Id ask since i'm Irish

My name is Sean. That being said I would NEVER, EVER spend a dollar of my own money to go to Ireland.

The picture above shows about 15% of the food court. And yes for dipshits there is a pizza stand, western stand, and italian stand. Fuck that. I'd rather have intestines, heart, gizzard, tongue and whatever else they want to serve me that people here eagerly buy.

Now I am craving vianna sausage's and rice!

The first is inedible and from what I've seen of your cooking not sure I'd eat rice you've made either. If it has the word Uncle in it, it goes in the trash not the stomach.

I'd say the same about California*

Buy the knock off brand. The one at National Camera Exchange is good enough for sure.

It's what I use on both of mine.

My secretary is in Irvine and one of the Engineering offices I manage in Campbell. Anything south of Santa Barbara the world would be better off if the ocean ate. SD is better than the rest, but still sucks.

Sounds like it would be better if you weren't there.

Canon glass is definitely better in general. But the Nikon make great use of the high dynamic range in the Sony sensors.

Either way.

The knock of units are great. I use the giant pack because #1 I can use AAs in a pinch, and I'm lazy.

I know you are in CA. Shittiest state in the nation IMO. Wins that award by a landslide.

How do you know Im.in California? Have I mentioned it before or are you stocking me sean... you ever come to northern.California?

I carry my battery charger with me when I travel and I've only needed it once. I think I shoot about 10-15k pictures a year and haven't needed a battery pack ever.

Dynamic range is easy to pull out in lightroom...

Sorry if you took my comment offensively but thats the way i feel

As for have I been there:

I've flown to San Jose at least 20 times

Oakland at least 4

San Fran at least 8

Merced once

Monterey once

And I am sure I am forgetting a trip or few. Pretty much there 4-5 times a year.
