If we were going by feel it would have been weeks

your perception of time differs alot from mine. things that happened yesterday feel like last week to me

Merrell is the only brand shoe I wear.  I don't run my knees can't handle it but I has a pair of these and they are freakin awsome.

Edited by Quentin Jarrell

You run with those one pavement? ???

Generally I run on hiking trails, but yes I've ran with them on the pavement.

Sounds painful. Ouch.

Merrells are good to me too. But in general I really don't buy foam shoes unless they are conventional runing shoes. I don't run anymore either, but they are better than "walking shoes" and "cross trailers" for the most part to me.

I'm over the no shoe, but still have a shoe fad.

Too tough on my old man feet and for the things I do.

I could probably get more life out of a day hiker/trail runner.... but my feet love the asics

powerlifting and Lupus has taken a toll on my knees. I can't take the pounding so I ride a bike.  I'm normally on my feet a lot overseeing loading/unloading of vessels.  Standing on steel for 12-24 hours at a time takes a toll so I don't need safety toed shoes I'll wear Merrell.  I haven't found another brand that gives me the really cusiony feel that I prefer.  (Although they have a wide veriety of shoes with different "feel")

Ordered the cigars. Thanks J!

No problem brother. Let me know the results.

Did you go through CI or someplace else??

They have always done a good job. Their heal cup design was brilliant, and they transfered a lot of hiking and other similar techniques into their shoes. Really great mid level do all kind of brand. More so for folks like me and you who have a bit different need.

i can't say it enough, i fucking hate drunk drivers!!! i drink a lot, but i would never hop in my vehicle or anybody elses if there was a person who had more than 1 12oz beer behind the wheel. that does piss me off, the guy was working to try to help somebody else and some drunk kills him.jon.gif

Correct me if wrong but wasn't it you who was bragging about downing 2 pitchers before leaving one night and not blowing above the legal limit???

J

LOL!

Uncle bought an 03 S55 AMG this week without a thorough checkup.

It seems to stutter under medium acceleration in 2,3 or 4th. I've never felt a torque converter slip in and out of lock but that is what I'd imagine it would feel like. Doh.gif

Doubt it is lock up shudder in 2nd. Lockup only occurs in drive and OD (whatever your top 2 gears are) as it can really cause issues with drivability in low gear. If you want a quick cure all, put in Dr Tranny's Shudder Fix . It will help with most clutch grab/shudder/slippage issues.

Awesome. I know nothing of torque converters, just felt like what I thought it could be.

Is the shudder fix a joke??

*I had my Uncle reset the transmission computer and guess what. Shudder is gone, err, almost. It used to do it 20 times in 5 minutes, now did it once in an hour.

But seriously, is the shudder fix a joke. I already changed his blinker fluid.

No joke. Fluids have a tremendous effect on transmission operation, and Mr Tranny's is really some of the best publicly available shudder fix on the market. If you know a mechanic, look into Wynn's Shudder Guard. It is the best, but it is not easy to come by.

As a general rule I am not a fan of snake oil, but this shit works.

Right before I repainted the front fender. The biggest help in keeping the frame and chain alive all winter in bad roads is the extension on the front fender. No more dirt from the front wheel on the frame biggrin.png

Fenders are the shit and you NEED a new saddle. My ass hurts looking at yours.

New saddle you say...

I did notice at some point yesterday that my ass didn't like it.

I would like something which could withstand some serious abuse off-road. I looked at a Focus frame at my local bike shop and although the head tube is larger in diameter the material was thinner than on my steel frame. So I don't see the benefits. Maybe I will get a second hand frame and build on that since I have a MIG and I know a kick-ass TIG welder.

If shipping were free, I'd contemplate shipping you my Breezer. Can't break it. Gotta love Ritchey welded stuff and it's too small for me.

You know...I know somebody who can get that shipped to my place for $40, as long as it gets in Michigan...

Yes, those are terribly uncomfortable. Something with a more minimalist design will work better.

I seriously thought you were pulling my leg, but I am game. If Wynn's is better I can search.

I don't joke when it comes to offering friends advice about fixing their vehicles... And I wasn't joking with you, either ;)

Minimalist, damnit

LOL
