May 15, 201312 yr I'm stoked, pretty well planned out my amplifier/processor/wiring layout for my trunk within about an hour and started working on it. I know this sounds like a simple task, but it usually takes me the better part of two days just to plan how I want to lay everything out because I'm a perfectionist and run through just about every possible option before deciding on something I like. This time I thunked up a great plan on my first "try". I still have some thinking to do about how fancy I want to get. But the main layout is done in my head, and that's the major hurdle.
May 15, 201312 yr Dress boots?Ostrich boots ain't dressy unless you're R2 or a texan.Business casual. They are hardly boots in my opinion... Just went to DSW and picked up a bland pair but I liked he way the higher ankle felt in comparison to the standard business shoe. Didn't put much thought into it to be honest; just picked some that I thought weren't too flashy and were comfy enough! http://www.dsw.com/shoe/aston+grey+harper+chukka+boot?prodId=270421&category=cat20303&activeCats=cat20192,cat20303

May 15, 201312 yr A friend brought up an interesting topic. During the job interview should you dominate like an alpha or be more submissive? Kind of threw me for a loop because I've never even thought of or heard of such a topic. I'm going to think on it for a bit, right after this Greek yogurt cup...Be yourself. If you are an alpha don't apply to be a Secretary for someone taking their orders.

Kind of threw me for a loop because I've never even thought of or heard of such a topic. I'm going to think on it for a bit, right after this Greek yogurt cup...Depends completely on the interviewer and position being applied for.Actually no it doesn't. Alpha is always a bad thing and NEVER a way to build a relationship. By no means am I saying you shouldn't control the interview, but that doesn't mean being submissive nor Alpha.Yeah that's basically what I was thinking. Only time for Alpha mode is in the gym, IMO.When I say alpha I think it means something different..... I don't puff my chest and pound in any situation really.... but I do naturally control almost every group I am in. People usually look to me to lead and I enjoy delegating, leading by education, and taking that roll.
May 15, 201312 yr Find a used Lynx or Fire MagicDoesn't look like that is going to work. Quick check of the local Craigslist shows none in the area and the wife will need to pick it up in her car or have it shipped. She is not a huge fan of craigslisting.

If you are an alpha don't apply to be a Secretary for someone taking their orders. I'm flexible when it comes to that. I may not like a job but I'll damn sure act like I do if it means they'll hire me.

Awesome Brad, now pictures will be needed when you do the work. Epoxy and MDF are WAY too much work. Just find some shit to zip tie it to and I'm good I'm terrible at taking pics, never remember. Main reason I never do build logs. That and it's never much to look at Functional but not that pretty.

May 15, 201312 yr I can clarify for you though Matt. You are being an Alpha by asking questions which amusingly is almost like letting others take control of the conversation in their mind when the reality is completely the opposite. Humans are creatures. Have to please them emotionally.

I would consider it if I was in the area but it comes to a point where you have to think about how much you are going to eat the food cooked on it
May 15, 201312 yr Since I bother you guys with everything else. Anyone look into a closet system? We have a huge master closet with hardly any useful area.Sean, I know you did that closet in your house and after seeing it I'm scared to price stuff, but I think that it is something in the house that will add more value to the house than it cost.

May 15, 201312 yr Pay a really well dressed contractor who has a male life partner/husband Mike. Or let your wife do it.If you think YOU have a closet... you are in trouble already young padewon.

We have a huge master closet with hardly any useful area.Sean, I know you did that closet in your house and after seeing it I'm scared to price stuff, but I think that it is something in the house that will add more value to the house than it cost.Ha, I just bought closet maid stuff for our master today. Literally. $750 for two 6'6" sections. Includes a replacement for a dresser on one side. The stuff from Menards looks like shit, Lowe's is overpriced, the John Luis stuff at Costco looks fine, but cost more than the closetmaid at Home Depot. I sort of figured with a nearly 7 digit house than the wire stuff which I could have done for $300 would look way too cheap.
May 15, 201312 yr The closet I did was a mudroom cubby system all in wood. I thought about building custom in my closet and would if I had more time, but for the price of the off the shelf stuff and realizing that it mainly holds hanging clothes it is worth it.Building drawers in particular doesn't sound like fun. Of course if I built it it'd be all wood/ply instead of particle board veneered but I'm moving.
May 15, 201312 yr Finish work is the bitch. Part of the reason I did it myself so I could finish the full sheets of ply and then just touch up after assembly. Obviously it meant I didn't sand flush on the face boards, but they are painted and it looks pretty good anyways. I know I "could" have.
May 15, 201312 yr While it is fun to build furniture when you hardly see it and no one will ever having my obsessive finishing desire can be squelched a bit.
