Really?  Generic drugs are the hope that one day I could change jobs.

Generics help keep the namebrand drugs pricing in check.

For some drugs. Other drugs do not have generic equivalents because of patents. Eli Lilly, for example, holds a patent in the US for atomoxetine under the name Strattera, which costs ~$6 per pill. There are no patents on this drug in India, or any other country for that matter. Corner the market, then raise prices; it stinks but it's Economics 101.

By purchasing atomoxetine from a Canadian pharmacy, I have the choice of either Canadian made Strattera for ~$6 per pill, UK made Strattera for ~$5 per pill, or Indian made Teva atomoxetine for ~$1.50 per pill.

Yes, I know that I'm talking about Canadian pharmacies. It's just an example, though. I could have just as easily mentioned the $4 and $10 generics my grandparents get filled by Walmart.

I didn't shit in his thread, he did.

The reason I commented is simple. He is a fucking moron that completely only does what someone else tells him to, he NEEDS to think for himself once. I don't give a fuck what he does to his car, but I would like to see him grow. He is a 10yr old in a 40yr olds body and unless he finds a way to enlighten himself he's fucked in life.

As for me "leaving him alone" that will never happen. His persona of preaching and claiming victory in the lanes will confuse nooblets badly and that has no place on the forum.

The sad thing is that he is going to spend a ton of time building something that a moron designed for him with substandard results when with the same effort he could have a seriously amazing sounding car. He'll be stubborn and confused by Ray so bad it'll end up sounding worse than the stock system in my Benz.

Been through the rodeo and the rodeo will continue if he continues to post BS on this site.

And yes he annoys the shit out of me as well. It isn't his comments though it is the fact that he is so blind and really won't accept ANY help. Compound this with the emotional reaction of a jr higherand wow. Someday some comment that is given will sink home when he actually implements the change and then hears the result.

DIfferent perspectives I guess.

I don't see him as any of that really.  I see him as a guy who has found something he likes that works for him and that's all he needs.  I don't see him pushing anything.  He'll make a comment here or there on what he has and what he's done, that's it.  I don't see him trying to advise anyone on anything.  He will give his opinion, but most of the people on this board know who to listen to and what advice they should heed.

Huh, never saw the guts of a Scooby transmission until today. Interesting idea, integrating the front diff into the transmission like that.

It was 120 degrees out today according to my thermostat, and 99 right now at 1:38 it's 99. Fuck this weather, can't wait to be out of here!

how the hell did I gain 5 lbs.

Water weight. I weighed at night before bed instead of in the morning after waking up. Donating blood kicked my brain's ass.

After watching that I was about to copy the link and post it in the HOP, then remembered where I was.

Back from the roadtrip...

Cut bumper was a success, the car no longer feels sluggish after longer periods on-boost and the oil temperature drops after the load goes down. I even spent ~2 minutes at max EGT's (1000F for the stock tune) and everything was gravy with the temperatures. Onwards with the big snail and extra fuel !

Oh yeah, it was also fun chasing an X5 on switchbacks. On turns I was faster but as soon as things opened up...it was a 4.4i IIRC

All FWD vehicles are built this way.

Those are transaxles. The Subarus integrate the front differential into their transmissions, eliminating the need for a transfer case and front driveshaft.

I am aware of the design, and all transaxles include the differential in the transmission. Most are integral with the inner workings, but it is still built in. Chrysler likes to use what one might call a traditional differential in many of their transmissions.  This is common on your Neons, Caravans, Stratus, etc, even utilizing a traditional diff cover as seen here:

and the 42LE Chrysler transmission uses a chain driven side mounted differential in this longitudinally mounted front wheel drive unit:

42LE.jpg

Back in the 70s Oldsmobile "added" a differential to the Toronado powerplant allowing it to be a front wheel drive longitudinally mounted engine/trans assembly.

Essentially they cut the tranny in half and chain drove the 2 sections, and mounted a traditional diff to the trans housing.

Now Subaru does incorporate the transfer case to the transmission, but aside from that, the differential is commonly part of the transaxle assembly.

I install a friend's BTL N3 and forget to turn off the low-pass and one RCA gets unplugged. 145.6 dB

I put my old BTL back and wire the coils out of phase, nothing.

And after 5 burps with no luck I manage to squeeze a 150.7 dB, 0.1 less than what it does usually with this box.
