Has anybody added an aux jack to a factory headunit? I am thinking of doing this to the beetle. Also thinking of adding some rca outs f I get into doing the aux jack.

 

If it's a Beta or Gamma unit I think there is a way. I know for sure I found the RCA front and rear outputs on the rear plane and built a plug.

HK receivers blow. I wasted money on one once. HAd several issues with it. Returned it 3 times and finally just ended up with an Onkyo.

My Integra(made by onkyo) is the best receiver I have ever had for the money. It didn't have much fancy shit on it, but it did everything well. It is now the power and management for my audio on the PC. Easiest way to have a sub and speakers hooked up.

I like Onkyo as well. Ideally I just need 5-10 channels of amplification that I could independently change inputs on. Though I probably will NEVER have 2 different inputs playing at one time. Though it would be nice to turn off some channels.

I've got an Onk and an HTD multi-room/input setup. Was pretty cheap.

I found a 95 Miata, with hardtop, 110.000 miles, 1.8, good price and good condition. Hopefully it's still going to be for sale when I get back from my trip.

It's drivable. Just no passenger door working. After I finish the home refinancing I will buy a vehicle. Then I will keep it as a beater, or part it out. Either are great options.

I will rig the door to open, and maybe not even patch it up. I can get a door and quarterpannel for ~500 if I want.
