February 8, 201312 yr Me: “And what version of Windows are you using?”He: “Look, pal. I know two things about this fucking computer. I paid a lot of fucking money for it, and it doesn’t fucking work.”
February 8, 201312 yr No, like with sex, barrel length does not matter. It´s the barrel diameter that counts. You want to leave big, dripping, gaping, wet holes when finished.Isn´t it ironic that basically the goals of sex and shooting intruders are the same ?
February 8, 201312 yr Bought the stuff in the purple bag to help me get through tonight. Damn, they got all your money too? Or did your local liquor store run out of Double Oaked?
February 8, 201312 yr Wife needs a phone. Which one? http://swappa.com/devices/verizon That is a pretty cool sight. I may look into that for 3G phones. I am looking at the loop holes so I don't give up unlimited data. If I go 4G then data changes.
February 8, 201312 yr One more thing I really need to address is porting the exhaust manifold. That will get done either when it's new turbo time or new downpipe time. Not sure about diesel but I have found restrictive exhaust manifolds and open from the down pipe out provides better torque and horsepower transition in gasoline motors. I have tried large long tube headers and short small tube headers and found much better 60 foot times and overall 1/4 miles were considerably improvedWhat you're saying makes sense for a turbo engine. Small tubes, high velocity is all good. And since in a drag application you're at WOT I would compare it to a diesel because diesels it doesn't use a throttle body so they flow a lot of air all the time. In my situation the ports in the head are slightly bigger than the manifold so porting was maybe a generous word, gasket matching would describe it better. Edited February 8, 201312 yr by Adrian 3.0
February 8, 201312 yr It snowed all day today but temperatures were above freezing so the snow didn't stick too much
February 8, 201312 yr would you guys rather have a pair of DD Z1's or a pair of Goliaths? hard decision for me Edited February 8, 201312 yr by ChILL
February 8, 201312 yr Just paid $91 for a full tank of gas in my truck (around 335 miles of travel). I have my Saturn in Tx that I could bring up and get double the milage. Or I could sell it down there and use the money towards something up here in Kansas. I really wanted my next car to be something sporty (BMW ish) but that isn't in the cars for at least 8 months (more like a year). You must be getting PAID!
February 8, 201312 yr would you guys rather have a pair of DD Z1's or a pair of Goliaths? hard decision for meI like to stay away from the Z1 after having one with a hole in the board, which caught fire after it was fixed (unrelated to the repair) and seeing a second one almost burning a hole in the board.
February 8, 201312 yr I'm in the market for a new to me used vehicle. I am interested in a suv. My choices would be a Tahoe or Suburban 2004-2006. How much would you guys pay for a decent used one? How many miles? Is there a preference for either one? Goal is to build a "loud clean system with some 18"s". I would hate to destroy a new truck with all the bass so that is why I'm thinking used would be better. I need opinions and suggestions here...
February 8, 201312 yr Ok tool people, recommend me a torque wrench. Up to $180, I need it to start from 15lbsft

February 8, 201312 yr Tahoe and suburban are about the same for your needs. For what it's worth the GMC Yukon Denali has always been in the top for most comfy, nice to drive appointed well big GM suvs to me.Escalades are nice but I don't know what engines they use. If they are GM engines rebaged then that would be ok too.
February 8, 201312 yr Didn't think about the Yukon, hmmm... Like I said in an earlier post goal is bass but I would take it on occasional trips. I just wasn't sure what's a good price to pay and what mileage range would be good?
February 8, 201312 yr Prices will vary drastically. No way to compare unless you say model x vs model y with similar miles.
February 8, 201312 yr I am particular to Ford myself. I LOVE my Expedition. It has had issues though. It was also DIRT cheep.
