Updated Policy for State and Local Agency Law Enforcement Sales:

Due to the recent and numerous new Anti-gun/Anti-2nd Amendment laws passed and/or pending across our country, LaRue Tactical has been forced to reconsider how we provide products to state and local agencies.

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

State and local laws have always been a serious focus of this firm, and we are now dovetailing that focus with the constitutional rights of the residents covered in their different areas by the old and new regulations.

We realize this effort will have an impact on this firm’s sales – and have decided the lost sales are less danger to this firm than potential lawsuits from erroneous shipments generated by something as simple as human error.

I've been looking at those Yukon XL's. I must say they are really nice. Honestly every car I have owned has been a GM, Oldsmobiles and Buicks. Those cars with the v6 last forever. I'm new to the truck scene. I have no problem with Ford as I would buy a Mustang over a new Camaro in a heartbeat. I guess I was looking at Chevys from a looks perspective as they don't look as dated as Fords do when the newer models come out. Advantage is I have ample time to decide, no money has been spent and, I can do more research. I just can bring myself to wall out the Buick other wise, I'd already have some 18"s. It really takes a special kind of guy to wall out a car....BALLS!!!

FYI, I'm poor so no Benz G wagons, Porche trucks, Escalades unless it's a gen 1.

Depends on your requirements. I have beam, click, and digital torque/angle wrenches. I only use my beams when setting preloads. I use my clickers most, as they are quick and easy to access, set up, and use. The Digital T/A wrench is awesome, but it takes time to set up. If I am doing torque to yield work (bolts designed to stretch, you will see a torque spec followed by a number of degrees) I will yank out the digital.

I just have a beam type but found it to be more accurate than a clicker when comparing.

Meh, that can be argued. I bet my clickers are more accurate then your beam right now. But I just got them back from calibration.

i do when I don't plan on using them much. Sometimes cheaper is better as well. My egg pan and wok were each $15 respectively. Completely superior to $150+ pans in that application. Not saying a cheap torque wrench is better than an expensive one in all cases, but there are of course tiers where things like that exactly happen.

It only lasted for about three hours after I woke up, but it was a surprise.

Side note. So after screwing around with my forks, I've come to the conclusion that the stiffness issue must be from the forks binding. So I Pulled the triple clamps off, and the lower clamps have a slight "rock" to them on a flat surface.

Not sure if I can find some pvc pipe with the same diameter as the forks, mount two 10' pieces, and see if I can visually see a skew.

Just rotate them on a straight edge.

Good to see Aidan being a motor mouth again. He's been quiet all week. I enjoyed the quiet, but would rather see him not be in pain.

I'm in the market for a new to me used vehicle. I am interested in a suv. My choices would be a Tahoe or Suburban 2004-2006. How much would you guys pay for a decent used one? How many miles? Is there a preference for either one? Goal is to build a "loud clean system with some 18"s". I would hate to destroy a new truck with all the bass so that is why I'm thinking used would be better. I need opinions and suggestions here...

If competing I would go Yukon. It;s size is more conducive to a better resonance for output. The Suburban is much bigger.

As far as Expeditions, you couldn't give me one. I am so fuckin sick and tired of fixing those big pieces of shit I don't even have the time to tell you. No offense Den, but Ford V8s suck dick.

Do they make torque wrenches that cheap? My most recent torque wrench cost me almost $500.

I've seen some Hazet torque wrenches in that price range. I need 20-100Nm, not a huge range and huge torque, that's why I mentioned that budget.

Depends on the need and your budget. I like the click type, but sometimes I need an angle or stretch and precision (read expensive) wrenches are necessity.

Oh yeah, I think click is good. I already have an angle gauge

Took the Heep out for a spin today, everything runs fine, EGTs are at the same level as before on long inclines BUT it developed a boost whine. I lay on the throttle and I can hear the whine spool up, I ease off and I can hear it spool down. Absolutely in tone with the boost.

Probably a boost leak and it's going to be a bitch to find
