The governments stupid fucking regulations are going to make shit like this happen more and more and more.

you will never buy new, so that shouldn't be an issue. Recalls should take care of any issues before you buy.

I won't buy a used first year either.

And again, you NEVER get anything you don't ask for. Curious if you've asked.

I got three raises without asking, and was then asked if I wanted to be manager.
You asked...by trying. Verbally would even be more effective.

Any of you guys golf?

A lot of good networking buddies do it, I'm thinking it might be worth a try?

I am horrible at it, but I LOVE to golf!  I have a slice I have been trying to get rid of for the better part of 15 years with no luck.  I took lessons as a child and I was pretty good.  5 years without it and I went to shit and haven't improved.

I used to love golfing as a teen. But we honestly went out to drink. It is a lot of fun, but I never got good. My cousin is married to a PGA pro (Brad Fritsch). It is in my family (my mother and step father, all 3 of my uncles and my aunt play), but aside from the occasional run to the driving range I don't play anymore.

fuck it, just aim left

Surprised tbat the Blose stereo in my new truck actually sound decent. Every other Bose car stereo I have had sounded like junk. Cut the back door speakers off and not so bad.

got a hole-in-one once in high school

Maybe I will give it a shot.

Is it worth it to find good deals on nice clubs or just buy a cheep set? I don't really care too much about initial investment, as long as I can sell what I have if I hate it.

I used to love driving ranges but I was horrible. I just went to swing a stick.

Absolutely. Just wondering if clubs make for nuance that is subtle and a set of $300 lowballed cheepos will do, or if sniping great deals and building a set of 1000 bucks in clubs would make that game more enjoyable.

No matter what you buy the wrong ones first, buy the ones that you can resell. No amount of dough spent on clubs will make you better if that is what you are asking. Practice of course will.

And yes, I fucking hate golf. Don't get it. Boring as fuck. Good if you are an alcoholic, but I can think of 1000 other things I'd rather do when the weather is nice and I sure the fuck ain't playing when it is not.

I used to golf. Moving to Chicago out of college screwed me up as I stopped fishing and chose another pursuit. When I moved back I picked up a fishing rod and haven't hardly bothered to swing a club since. Only do it when it could potentially help business.

What I am afraid of.

Exactly why I want to try it. And on the slim chance I like it.

Exactly why now I am like Neal. Driven a few carts for my friends in the past years, but don't pick up the clubs. I don't need another summer bug.
