I have a 4.1 cubic foot box with a IA DR 15 in it with a round port. It's tuned to 30hz with a 4" diameter and a 10" long tube that come out to 12.5 "sq area.

I have not listened to it yet, but is this enough port area?

Will it hurt the sub?

Not enough port area. Not even close.

I know I fucked up it was my first box but just trying to see if it would still work before cutting a bigger hole and putting in bigger pipe.

No big deal I would just wait until you can put a bigger port in.

How many sq" should I have? Is 20 enough?

No, how much power are you running?

I can get 29 sq" of port area with a 6" diameter. Only 900wrms running to it so would it matter?

29 is still less than I would use but it will be way better.

Could I put a second 3" port?

Can't fit another 4, but I could do an 8" with 50sq" area too.

An 8 would be good if you can make it work.

Yeah, It would be half in half out though.

Is 50sq" to much?

Half in, and half out is fine as long as you calculate it properly. 50 is not too much.

It would look alot better with another 3" though, could I do that?

It would be to small I think.

Do you mean another 4"?

Yeah I'm going with the 8" diameter that's 23" in length tuned @33 hz.

50 sq" of port should fuckin pound.

I'm not sure if this is what you are saying but two 4" ports do not equal one 8" port.

Or are saying add 3-4 inches of port length?
