Posted February 8, 201312 yr I currently have a 230 amp alternator for my 04 Honda civic. im putting 2 n215 btl's in my trunk with a 3875 watt amp. i have im not sure what kind of battery i have now but its new and standard (nothing special). will i need to pick up another battery or 2 to put into the trunk? if so would i be better off adding them after the subs are installed or wire them at the same time?
February 8, 201312 yr You would have right around 300 amps of current draw. I would pick up two batteries, absorbed glass mat sealed types. One for under the hood, and one for the trunk. Also, I assume you have big 3 done?
February 8, 201312 yr Author yeah, big 3, thanks for the heads up. so what 2 batteries should i get for my 04 civic?
February 8, 201312 yr This has nothing to do with FI products but yes a couple of the biggest AGM batteries for the rear would work.Maybe two XP3000's if you have the room.
February 13, 201312 yr XS D5100Not that big of an issue but you might have a 5100R in your Honda as I do
