Posted March 14, 201312 yr Hi I have (2) hifonics brz1200 each on its own DD 2512c (D2) @ 1ohm I want around 1/3 more power as i think the subs can handle it What do you think about bridging those two amps? What kind of ohm load would i see? What would be the power benefits? What would be the dangers? If the risk is too high to try then I wont, because these amps are pretty much sold Edited March 14, 201312 yr by Truconcept
March 14, 201312 yr They are not bridgable.Crap you beat me.lol Edited March 14, 201312 yr by pmureika
March 14, 201312 yr Author now don't laugh at me or get mad but.... can't I wire the positive to one amp and the negative to the other?especially since they're identical
March 14, 201312 yr Thats called strapping and not on those. There would be a master and slave button if it was strappable.
March 14, 201312 yr I do t know if those amps are strapable. However they would be seriesed not bridged. In order to do this without tearing the amps up you would have to series the subs as the amps would not be able to handle a .5 ohm load. So you would be sending the same amount of power. Normally amp ratings are less strapped than single. Edited March 14, 201312 yr by Quentin Jarrell
