I have a JX1000/1d and when ever I start my car it works fine green light and music bumpin.
I turn the car off to take the bar off, turn it back on and its in protect and wont turn green unless I wait a long time. It only works first start up, I checked the ohms coming from the sub and its a steady 2.0 and also took all the wiring off the amp and put it back on, still nothing.
Really pissed off Iv checked everything I can think, anybody have this prob before?

I have switched the battery and nothing different, checked the ground and its solid.

Take what bar off?

  • Author

Steering wheel bar, it goes into protect if you shut off the car and turn it back on, whether thats 2 seconds after you start it or 5 mins of bumpin beats.

I think its something to do with voltage, I don't have a voltmeter though.

How do you have it wired? Have you checked your fuses?

  • Author

4 gauge, ground going from amp to chassis, power from amp to the batt with a maxi fuse. No fuses on the amp itself.

Have you inspected your wiring completely looking for pinches or shorts? Are the signaling cables good?

Try to run a jumper between the remote wire input and the power input, See what happens then.

EDIT: Do this with your HU off on the amplifier.
