Posted March 25, 201312 yr The side windows in a bronco's top are only held in by rubber trim, Unfortunately they are not tight enough to withstand the pressures of bass. The windows flex back and forth and on some songs can make enough noise to be annoying.Anyone have any ideas on how to better secure them?I was thinking maybe epoxy of some sort, but I'm not sure if it would work or which one to use.
March 25, 201312 yr You could always go plexi and bolt them down. The rubber is going to allow play for window slap no matter how much epoxy you try to use. Unless you glue both sides, and even then I am unsure if it would work.
March 26, 201312 yr Author i would use a silicone not an epoxy, something that stays pliableThat actually makes more sense than epoxy, much more forgiving one way or another. Plus its very cheap.I think I'll try this and see what happens. Thanks man! Edited March 26, 201312 yr by SacredTanakh
March 28, 201312 yr Check out fullsizebronco.com and do some searching, if you can't find any info on your particular problem, post a topic in the 78-79 Bronco tech forum and you may get some ideas from the guys who really know the FSB inside and out.
