Hey guys,

just recently bought a 2 channel and am now wiring or trying to wire it. i have come to the point of putting the speaker wire to the speakers.  but i have come across a little issue.  you see all the previous wiring is connected to the driver and passenger door by a single clip. there is no other opening in the door.  and theres no room to slide my speaker wire in there.

so how do i get the new wire into the door? the only way i see is to drill a couple holes.  what do u guys usualy do?

That's what you have to do.  Drill some new holes and find a boot to install in place.

any place in particular? i would think fairly close to were the other wiring is

Do you mean plug in the door boot, like a molex plug?  Sometimes if there is room, you can drill a spot big enough in the plug to sneak some wires through, but be carful no to hit any other wiring.  Pain in the ass, but can be done.  Or drill new hols and install aftermarket boots.

Agreed. Using the existing plug and drilling is simpler and saves having to locate boots BUT be very very careful of your other wiring as stated.

Too late but thanks guys. Ended up drilling through the doors and using gromets. Took the whole car apart, seats out doors off everything. Didn't anticipate this much work, but better do it right the first time I guess
