Posted April 30, 201312 yr Did this for a friend he wanted 1 - 8" mid 1 - 10" mid and 2 - tweeters in his door, so i cut out a mdf base to match the door panel, trimmed to fit. So here's the mockup so far, it all fits snug, we're using all crescendo components the selenium is for mockup. Using regular fleece and two coats of resin no fiberglassFleece stretched and stapled Two coats of resin Fitted to the door Finished product nice and snug Not as smooth as i could get it but my friend didn't care otherwise i would have bondoed it, i think later down the road it will get vinyl not sure though Edited April 30, 201312 yr by 388chevy
May 1, 201312 yr All that work and no fiberglass--I don't understand.I doubt he's done, that would have no support, you could probably break it by leaning on it. Also isnt the ratio for crescendos speakers 2 mids to 1 tweet?I like the slanted look, good job so far
May 1, 201312 yr Author Fiberglass wasn't needed, with two coats of resin it came out solid plenty of support even when leaning on it All that work and no fiberglass--I don't understand. For space, if it was on the bottom it would hit the dash board alot Great job. I like. I would like to know why the bigger woofer is on top I have no idea he wanted two in the door so it would scream, and well it does just that Also isnt the ratio for crescendos speakers 2 mids to 1 tweet?
