I have looked through the manual and see no details on it

Does anyone know if the remote knob is a GAIN KNOB?  or a BASS BOOST KNOB?

I am trying to set my gains and would like some more information before i hook up the o-scope.

it is a remote gain.

set your gain as desired then plug in the remote. when the remote it at max, it will be to your max gain on the amp.. and when its at min it will lower the gain...

it is not a bass boost ,

Thats what i assumed, and i clearly understand your instructions.. but for thought, any idea why the manual says Remote Gain/Bass Boost then?  They dont give any instructions on setting it.

Because it's made out of the country.

Everything produced by buildhouses is so generalized because they supply to 10s or 100s of brand names that all share the same basic operation.

There is no need to change the wording as it's a minor flaw with perfection i guess you could say.

it may say bass boost  because thats what people  are used to knowing it as....

to me bass boost wouls be just that the bass boost control... and that would be somthing i would never use,.

but on a remote gain on the other hand is mega useful !
