Which position do you install the kit (1 1/2); with the radio in the upper or the lower?

I've always had mine upper (sometimes with 1/2 din EQ's in the lower)...

...anybody ever placed their radio in the lower position?

usually won't fit that way. in 99% of all kits the radio goes above the pocket.

now the resource ful can reverse them, but i've seen times where fitment became an issue. somtimes with the radio on bottom it hits something inside the dash or the trim doesn't fit.

but hey, give it a whirl, it's not like dash kits are expensive anyway. if you mess one up, you can replace it way too easily.

I had mine installed in the upper portion, then i switched to the lower position.

Not really any reason behind it other than most people dont do it

i think mine is centered in the middle

In my burb its in the center as well.

In the accord ( double DIN) its in the lower part
