Posted June 10, 201312 yr I have a sundown sa 15.Its in a custom box at 33hz, powered by a hifonics brutus 1200. I have cheap 1200 watt amp kit from walmart right now but here very soon im upgrading to knukonceptz kca 1/0 amp kit. First question is : will i tell a difference in loudness or quality from this better wire? 2nd question is : how should tune my amp for my sub. Right now i have everything set to half way. My level is set to where im pushing around 900-1000 rms. help me out guys! I will greatly appreciate any tips
June 10, 201312 yr Author Right now my amp is set to where theres no distortion. If i turn my bass boost up on my amp then there is distortion so i keep it half way. I want it to be loud and clean. I just dont wanna blow my sub or amp.
June 10, 201312 yr Not familiar with the amp but you want bass boost all the way down. Low pass filter not too high. I set my gains by ear. Hard to explain that too much. I just listen for any signs of stress on my subs. Not sure about noticing a difference in changing your wire. Walmart amp kit scares me lol. I would upgrade that for the piece of mind. Couldn't hurt.
June 10, 201312 yr new wire and big 3 could help if you have dimming/low voltage. unless the walmart stuff is really undersized you wont hear an audible difference.
June 10, 201312 yr Author Thank you. And the walmart amp kit actually is t too bad haha. Ive used it for a while, but yea it scares me too lol. Thats why im upgrading.

June 10, 201312 yr most likely you wont hear an audible difference, also I don't recommend setting your gains by listening I would grab a dmm and set the gains with that... wondering how you have your stuff wired to.. is it a dvc 1or 2 ohm?
June 10, 201312 yr I would do just the opposite.Set the gains by ear. A dmm just gets you close. Not much better then a smd dd-1.
