August 10, 201312 yr Author I know that, I haven't put in a HU yet considering my dash configuration makes it more difficult. I think its a double din thats why. But How much do you gain switching from AUX
August 11, 201312 yr Author how do u like the amp? my friends just about to buy one of those bad boysThe amp definitely puts out what it says. When I got mine in I had a shop install it. They told me that the amp did not work and I ended up purchasing another from their store. Months later I installed the amp myself to find out it actually works and sounds noticeably better. The only issue I am currently having is that the amp turns off after about 5mins when the car is running. And i just need to restart the car. Im sure the amp probably got messed up in shipping.
August 11, 201312 yr Sounds like you don't have the gain set right or something. The amp will go into protect mode. Check to see if the amp is getting hot. Edited August 11, 201312 yr by pmureika

Check to see if the amp is getting hot.I have fooled around with the gain and it does not help. I am sure it doesnt have to do with low voltage because it will turn off when im driving even if I had not turned the bass up. It doesnt even go into protect, it just turns off. I think its either because of a faulty amp or because the grounds.

Plus like you said check all the wiring, even the speaker wires.

August 11, 201312 yr sounds like loose ground or speaker wire, had the same thing happen. check all conections. what amp did u have before that this one sounds noticably better?
August 11, 201312 yr sounds like loose ground or speaker wire, had the same thing happen. check all conections. what amp did u have before that this one sounds noticably better? Why only when its running? Thats what I don't understand!
August 11, 201312 yr theres alot of factors that can influence it cutting out. say your driving and u hit a pot hole, bump, take a sharp turn ext. its even possible that the vibrations caused by the engine could loosten it out if not properly secured. when mine was cutting out i could be standing at a red light or driving on a perfectly smooth road and it would still do it. for me it was the speaker wire input on the amp that got loose. also if your amp is mounted directly on your box with nothing inbetween to dampen the vibrations it could loosten the screws that way. easiest way would be to check all conections at all ends to make sure its good that way. then go from there
