Im thinking of purchasing  the SA 8 v2 D2. But I dont want to lose my whole trunk I have a Forte Koup and only want 1 8'sub. would this work and be satisfied with its performance?

Didn't know they made an 8 foot sub.

Generally speaking a single ported 8" sub doesn't make sense as the box ends up being big due to the port. Better off running something larger sealed if you are trying to minimize your box size.

especially for a trunk..
