Posted September 22, 201311 yr After downloading nearly a hundred mixtapes, I finally found one that pretty much slams from start to finish. YG's Just Re'd Up 2. If you haven't got it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Nice bass throughout.... http://www.datpiff.com/YG-Just-Red-Up-2-mixtape.441217.html But that makes me wonder what else is out there. What gems have you found that pound?

I've picked up a lot from reading those threads, but that's one song at a time. I was hoping to find some mixtapes that hit hard throughout. Seems a lot of them I'm only keeping 2 or 3 songs. And if it slams in mine, it will in anyone's. I'm not pushing big numbers.....

Some are built/tuned for numbers and will seem to "slam" on higher frequency bass, where as others are built/tuned for the lows, like mine, and will have more authority on lower frequency bass. There is also the subject of peak frequency and cabin gain. We could have the same exact equipment and same box specs in two different vehicles and it will sound different in each. So he is correct, what "slams" in your car might sound weak in mine. Edited September 22, 201311 yr by PHATBOi

What I'm getting at is that a lot of mixtapes seem to have weak production for whatever reason on a lot of their songs, leading to a crappy listening experience. This particular one had really good production, with very nice bass on practically every track. My car has shook more from this one than any other thus far. Just hoping to find some more well produced ones to listen to.
