I'm looking for free software for windows that would help me create a mash up.  Something comparable to Garage Band that simply allows me to import music and control their fade in/out time/volume.  I have Sony Acid, but it's not with me at school.

    If i remember correctly, Sony Audacity has the ability to do what you are asking and it is extremely user friendly. And free!
