Hello guys,

Need you advice on my automotive audio issue.

I had changed by setup to Zed LEVIATHAN III from Helix and the current speaker are from Seas.

So far, i like my current setup compared to the previous which used Morel.

However I had encountered whining sound from my tweeter whenever i on my HU or the system. The whining sound was constant.

There was no increase in the whinning sound when i increase the accerlator. I encountered this whinning sound after installing Zed LEVIATHAN III. I would like to know if LEVIATHAN user encounter this problem too?

I had read through about the write-up about the noises from the speaker.

I had done the followings:

1. Remove the power cable for my 2 Farad Capacitor. (Which do not need it anymore since i have this monster amp)

2. Switch a  unused UPOCC RCA cable to the Tweeter (Channel 1 & 2). The whining sound reduced slightly, not as loud as the previous RCA cable.

Next week, i will go to my installer place to do a test by using another amp to test if the whining sound still exists. My friend had recommend me to use Coaxial cable as Coaxial cable are well shielded and therefore it could help to reduce or remove the EMF or RF noise.

Appreciate if anyone had gone through this before, please share with me on how you had solve this issue.

Thank you for any advice provided. Cheers.

Make sure that the amp is grounded properly ... My ground cables are no longer than 18 inches (the normal length of a battery) ...

Best of luck Sir !!!

finding a grounding location for a couple amps within 18" seems pretty unrealistic.

Can you move the amps at all?

I get a whine when my rca's sit a certain way across my trunk area; i've tried six sets of rca's, and it only happens when I use both of my two channels. What else changed when you switched amps?

And completely unnecessary. Obviously minimizing the length of both power & ground saves you rish, money and perhaps diameter, but that is it.

Thank you guys for the suggestions and help, it was due to my rca..It was due to plug in and out caused it to wear of and caused this whine..

glad you figured it out

that guy who installed his amp in the engine bay was on to something!
